Family Involvement in Education Month
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), Division of Special Education and Student Services (SESS) recognizes that families are instrumental in helping children reach their full potential. As such, VDOE and SEES, in collaboration with other agencies involved in helping families with issues related to the education of their children, asked that Governor Terrence McAuliffe recognize November 2014 as Family Involvement in Education Month in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are pleased to announce that the Governor has signed a Certificate of Recognition in response to our request. Additionally, the Virginia State Board of Education has signed a Resolution of Recognition to commemorate November 2014 as Family Involvement in Education Month.
